Chopin probabilemente suffreva de epilepsia.

Le compositor polonese Frederic Chopin, qui suffreva de un grande varietate de maladias durante su vita, probabilemente habeva epilepsia, secundo un gruppo de investigatores qui ha studiate su problemas de sanitate.

Un grupo de científicos españoles, que publicaron su trabajo en la revista médica “Medical Humanities”, dicen que esta enfermedad, conocida ahora como la epilepsia del lóbulo temporal, que nunca se diagnosticó en Chopin, podría ser la responsable de las alucinaciones descritas por Chopin en muchos de sus cartas.

En una de ellas, con la fecha de 1848, Chopin dice que veía a criaturas estrañas que surgían de su piano durante una de sus conciertos.

Chopin murió de tuberculosis en Francia, donde pasó la mayor parte de su vida adulta, a los 39 años de edad.

La epilepsia era una enfemerdad desconocida en la primera mitad del siglo XIX.

Polish composer Frederic Chopin, who suffered from a variety of illnesses during his life, probably had epilepsy, according to a group of researchers that has studied his health problems.

A group of Spanish scientists, who published their work in the medical journal “Medical Humanities,” say that this illness, now known as temporal lobe epilepsy, which was never diagnosed in Chopin, could be responsible for the hallucinations described by Chopin in many of his letters.

In one of them, dated 1848, Chopin says that he saw strange creatures that emerged from his piano during one of his concerts.

Chopin died of tuberculosis in France, where he spent most of his adult life at 39 years of age.

Epilepsy was an unknown illness in the first half of the nineteenth century.
