Mi curso de conversation bilingue

(Languages of this post: Interlingua, English)

Mi proxime projecto pro “Interlingua multilingue” essera assatis longe. Io va a publicar in iste sito un curso de conversation bilingue in interlingua e anglese.

(Harleigh Kyson Jr.)

My next project for “Interlingua multilingue” will be rather long. I am going to publish on this site a bilingual conversation course in Interlingua and English.

Everyone can use this course to study Interlingua, and Interlinguists who want to improve their English can use it to study the patterns of conversation in American English.

The course is very similar to a radio play and is principally the story of two protagonists, Catherina and Petro, who work for Marex Mundial, a company specializing in urban-transport systems. The course is in eight chapters, and each chapter has six scenes.

Before each scene is a summary of its content. After most of the scenes there is a short exercise that explains some characteristics of the language used in the scenes. The course has a guide who is learning these two languages the way you are and who explains the purpose of the exercises.

You can read this course, preferably with other people as if you were having a conversation with them. Eventually I hope that a group of interlinguists with some of the talents of professional actors will make recordings of the course and will distribute them gratis on the Web.

Conversational language is rather different from language written to be simply read, and I hope that after studying these conversations you will be able to freely talk with other people in Interlingua. (Harleigh Kyson Jr.)
